Hahaha. I love Miranda and Mitch... such a cute couple. Mitch is the cop but he is the softy one.

Miranda has a good heart, she may have saved a marriage.

Communication is so important in relationships. I know by experience.

Well done!

Thanks, Gypsy. Communication and respect for one another. You're doomed without it. Gretchen

It's a good thing Miranda has Mitch. She is bound to get into trouble and he is there to get her out. That was a very enlightening trip and they found out more than what they were searching for. A bouncer who wants to be a cop and one of Mitches daughters friends working as a stripper. Who knew? They did find Bill and he is innocent of any affair so Rita can relax or can she? LOL I wouldn't want my man working there. Good job. Nancy:)

Thanks, Nancy. I wouldn't want my husband working there either. Lol. But I think it'll work out. Gretchen

Few writers have that God given knack for writing what readers can relate to or look back on to remember where they've been. Writers who have seemingly read everyone's dairies. No, I never wrote a dairy. :-) Thanks for sharing.

I never had a diary until the past five years. Now we call it Journaling. Sounds less childish. I'll just bet your diary would hold some interesting stuff. Lol. Thanks for this. Gretchen

It wouldn't be rated very well. :-)

You do effectively convey the rather grotty atmosphere of such places - not that I've ever visited such places ever, obviously. Looks like Bill may redeem himself though. Thankfully.

I've watched a lot of movies. Plus I've heard people talk about those places. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Hello Gretchen,
I really enjoyed this chapter. It wasn't at all what I expected. Why is it so often human nature to expect the worst from another person? I'm glad Bill was able to find some work, regardless of where it was. The benefits would be hard to beat I suppose. That was an interesting twist with the bouncer too. Great job gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Thanks so much, Tom. I'm glad you were surprised. Human nature does tend to look for the worse. Sadly. Thanks again. Gretchen

Mystery solved, at least one of them. I love the banter between Mitch and Miranda. They seem like such a good fit for each other. That they trust each other is evident. Fun dialogue to keep the characters interesting and the action crisp.

Miranda solved the mystery of the late-night husband, and the sheriff discovers his daughter's friend in high school works as a stripper. Quite an educational night for both of them. This was very amusing, and Mitch may have a new deputy soon, too. Well written and a very enjoyable read.

I feel worse for Mitch. That would be a rude awakening. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Miranda gets what she wants. I am glad for the sake of his wife and children that Bill seems to be a decent guy. Quite a surprise that the bouncer was thinking about being a cop. An enjoyable chapter, and I am already wondering where this interlude will lead.

This was just the ending to the previous chapter. Probably won't go anywhere with it. Lol. Glad you enjoyed this. Gretchen
    BTW, hows Jonathan?

    Hi Gretchen,
Thank you for remembering him. He's back at his Group Home, he's well, but very weak and tires easily.

Come on, that's funny, I don't care who you are. Why did you take the other one off? This was good writing. I enjoyed that you did not spend your time talking of ladies various body parts. But it might have been a teensy bit funnier if while she was talking about the double jointed redhead, she said, I wonder if she could teach me? And, he choked on his sip of beer.
Good writing. Karen

The other was the same chapter. It glitched on my end and said I already had a chapter with that name. So I went to rename it and saved it by accident. So, you weren't missing anything. Thanks so much. Gretchen
