My grandfather used to sing that song.
I'm drawn to descriptions of days gone by and also trains, so it would make sense this little poem made me smile.
Did you work on the railroad? Taking a train is so different than it was, even 20 years ago when my kid was little. I like to imagine the thrill of a train ride in it's heyday and people were still in awe of such a feat.
Thanks for the share. The format works and though there are a few rhymes, it stays within the prompt.
