this is a lovely poem written in 5-7-5 style. I like the idea of seeing "decorous splendour" at the end of an up the hill walk. Congratulations on winning the contest.

I like this prospect of a long walk up the hill and in the snow, but with a glorious view to keep you motivated. I also like the potential and possibilities implicit in the opening line, because "just over the hill" for us readers lies something as yet unexplored and we are curious animals. :) Thanks for the share!

Lovely picture. Nice poem. I would have used darker font. That's just me. Down here in Texas we never see much snow. We can get slush on occasion, but snow is rare. It is about 65 degrees here. Good work here. Karen

Just over the hill, what a splendid walk you created. The walk was long, and I am sure it was cold, too. So, you had to bundle up to keep warm. God was with you to keep you on your right path.

I'm glad your walk is ending; it looks pretty chilly out there! But, perhaps you are speaking of your walk through life, in which case there is still much splendor for you to enjoy.
