This was educational and meaningful to me . As someone who has had a stammer since birth,I greatly respect what you do. Yes I find taking a deep breath helps.For me the key is awareness of the dis-fluency. Good luck in the contest!

When my son was young, ages ago it was, he went to speech therapy and after some time passed, it corrected the problems completely. I am grateful this service was provided at his school. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you for sharing this information! I work with students in secondary schools and by then most of them have corrected any minor speech impediments they suffered as very young children, but the occasional one persists.

Thank you for this lesson in speech therapy. When I was a kid, I saw a speech therapist. I was pronouncing "l's" wrong. Know how she got me to stop that? She gave me a lemon lollypop when I learned to say it correctly.
