What a great haiku and a great picture, Gypsy. The picture suggested a portrayed China Doll. Your words showed that you cared a great deal, it was a deal with grandma that died. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

A China doll how beautiful and fragile. I am curious about Grandma. Where did she go and why? Is the doll left on the shelf because Grandma cared for her, or the memory of Grandma? My mind is spinning with possibilities. This is another wonderful presentation that we've come to enjoy from you.

Haiku are supposed to make you ponder. The grandma is not around to dust her China doll. Maybe she died or she just moved away.... death is most likely to me.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words. Have a wonderful weekend!

I had to laugh because so many people are creeper out by dolls. My mother had a doll she named Joy. No one in my family wanted it but I couldn't let it wind up in a thrift store. I happen to like dolls but I only put her out on holidays but I do enjoy her. Beautiful but sad . The things we treasure and take care of are future residents of a landfill. Gretchen

My daughter is scared of porcelain dolls and clowns. She thinks they are creepy lol. I don't like those porcelain babies that look dead.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

I guess it was the grandmother who kept the pretty things dusted and well cared for. I wonder how many kids today know how to care for something like a porcelain doll. Nicely told story in your poem!

Man this one is so beautifully worded and illustrated! I love the idea of a China doll from Grandma's shelf. Our grand parents used to have some cool stuff didn't they? Perfect format of course and this one has great content. Good luck.
