That is a beautiful story! I am so amazed by the emotional IQ of dogs. That is something that cats rarely have - if they have it, not all respond with such compassion. Evie is blessed in her therapy work as she is among such compassionate and caring co-workers! And Sunny is brilliant to first greet his co-workers and their parents before proceeding to work. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a sweet true story. The dogs could teach people some important lessons on loyalty and concern for one another. I'm glad Evie found a caring home.

Thank you Verna. She was lucky to survive. She is such a sweet natured dog. You are right about humans! Lovely review.

Hi Wendy,
What a great story! I especially liked the part where Evie whimpered in pain, and all the other therapy dogs (including Sunny) went to her aid. You must look forward to Wednesdays.
I was a big fan of the TV series, "Frasier" (not so much the new Frasier show... yet), and Martin's dog was a Jack Russell terrier. His name on the show was Eddie, and a very smart dog he was!
Nicely penned! Thanks for sharing, Wendy!
Hugs,
Kimbob

This is a beautiful story of these care dogs that care not only for their people but also for each other. Beautifully told Wendy, and a joy to see and be involved in, I would think. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it does bring me a great deal of happiness. We are both still learning - Sunny is more active than most of the others, who settle and sleep while they are being petted. He likes to move from person to person and busies himself by checking all dogs and people. He's more curious and active, but that to me is very endearing. I love seeing the dogs interact with each other and look after each other. Thank you for such a lovely review.

What a heart-warming story. The poor little dog has had quite a tough life so far. Now she has friends who are concerned for her well-being. I like that the dogs didn't mob her, but instead circled around and stood back to give her space.

What a lovely story, Wendy. It started sad, but how wonderful was the change for this little cutie. That the other dogs were worried that something was wrong when Evie yelped in pain, was priceless! I think they do know when something is wrong with one of their own. I really loved this story, my friend. Well done! :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you for sharing this story with us. I so wish humans would take lessons of compassion from dogs. We could learn a lot. I enjoyed reading. You brought happiness into my day.

Thank you very much Barbara - and I agree with you a hundred percent - but many humans are too proud to learn from "mere" animals. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

What a beautiful and moving story. And, what a wonderful way to help people in need, as well as dogs who need a caring home. What would we ever do without pets, especially dog? It'd be a hole in our hearts that we would never understand.
Your story is not only wonderful for the content, but also the professional level writing. I truly enjoyed reading it.

Thank you god this lovely review, so very understanding. Animals enrich our lives enormously and their intuitive care for each other, as well as us, is extraordinary.

This is a beautiful story about the friendship among dogs who are also trained to be friends to humans with needs. I had no idea dogs would support and show sympathy to another dog they barely knew. They might have done better than humans in the same situation.

Thank you very much Carol. A lovely review, and I greatly appreciate the six stars. It was a very moving and touching moment - and I did wonder what the reactions of humans would be. Many thanks again.

This is an adorable story of doggy behavior that adults could take a lesson from. Your thorough description of the scene made it easy to envision little Evie being surrounded by understanding, loving, doggy coworkers.
What a delightful story.

Thank you very much!! I am so glad you enjoyed this story. I was very moved and touched by their actions but sometimes wonder if a story about such a special tiny moment in time will please others. There is no drama or anything. So your review is very encouraging.
