Very interesting. And well written, too.
The Sunday papers I remember had entire comic sections, not merely a page. The 'Family Circus' strip was fortunate to survive the cutback and cancellations as newspapers began to lose money and eliminate comics.
Best wishes.

Hi Brett, I've never really been interested in cartoons so I'm a total ignorant on the subject. I honestly don't have a clue what you're referring to. But then again, I grew up in Denmark your cartoons having not quite reached our shores. Now it's all redundant in this digital world. Thanks for sharing. Ulla:)))

Hi Brett,
It's nice to read the story behind the story. I wonder what he will do when the culture changes to where there are no longer newspapers or interest in wholesome cartoons? I'm glad Jeff picked up the mantle and carried on his father's work. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I've said it before but I'm going to say it again. I'm really enjoying this study of cartoons and comics. I checked out Family Circus for the first time in a long time. I noticed how they've been updated in character appear. Very interesting. Gretchen

I'm continuing to enjoy your analysis of the many cartoons that were and many that still are things we enjoy. I was thinking of cartoons I have enjoyed and many of them weren't really all that funny, but I still liked them. I guess what your said about this one is why. They have heart and remind us of our own lives.

Very interesting and well researched. The mother was right in saying that not everything needed to make people chuckle. Realistically that's not so, so she was wise. Comic strips about other ordinary and yet meaningful things in life are relevant and highly relatable. Thanks for sharing.

It's a pleasure to read of a son that has true humility, giving credit to his father, but of course he honoured the mother and his siblings, truly a man of honour, a rare quality , but he was blessed with the family talent, beautifully written, blessings Roy

This is well written and laid out in a logical order. Did you take a lot of it from another interviewer? You might want to give him or her credit as it sounds like an interview by someone.
