Oh Gypsy, how very beautiful in its passion. An all encompassing love that knows no boundary.
The refrain of 'my' and 'say' add so much to the meaning of every emotion, every action, every need and want. You had my senses peaking, my heart beating and that feeling one gets deep within their lower stomach.
Just stunning MariVal... I keep reading to say this is my favorite, or this is one of my favorite, but I have nothing but favorite... it is complete.
On reading the last line, my mind kept going to suffocate vs die... but only because of the reference to 'air in my lungs' I think.
Just one stunning piece of free verse... in composition, construction and presentation... love it!

James, im so happy to hear from you. It's always a treat to get and read your reviews. You definitely "get me". I'm happy you like this one so much. You are a poet at heart that's why it hits you deeply with in. You know me well enough to know I pour myself onto the page... it comes from deep within. I don't know why it resonates with so many people. I guess they react to its realness... maybe something they have within as well. I know you do.
I did go back and did a few edits... not much but I think it's better. It's good to go back after it sets for a while. Thank you.
May you have a wonderful weekend with your other half. Have I told you the Spanish saying?

Another fine poem, Gypsy----and I got lost on the Pleasure Highway, hit one of them there valleys of which you speak and went careening off the familiar and now I'm trying to walk back, slow going!
