A week away from my computer has put me well behind on my reading and reviews, but I'm racing to make sure I don't leave any of my regulars out. I've missed seeing what my favorite writer's minds have been twisted up in. I'm a fiction reader, but that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate all the hard work and research that goes along with truthful stories.
Thanks for sharing.

Right, maybe I shouldn't even attempt to review, this because none of it means anything to me. I've never been too keen on cartoons, anyway, and as I grew up in Denmark I don't have clue what you're referring to
But that has certainly nothing to do with your writing. It is well written. Had I grown up in the US I would probably have appreciated this, Brett. Ulla:)))

Boy, can you write a story or what? The story or saga is completely engaging. You never slow down on the research. It just keeps building. Grand writing. Great picture. No Need To Reply Karen

Please tell me you are going to do an essay on Funky Winkerbean. That was probably one of my favorite cartoons. Up there with Doonesbury. I like how Family Circus is classified as American folk art. It's definitely Americana. Just like Norman Rockwell. Great piece per usual. Gretchen

I'm glad you did two on the family circus. Actually, I think a lot of these are really witty and the cartoon drawing are really good. I'm enjoying your series on the comics. I wonder if you ever thought of being a cartoonist are you just enjoyed them.

This is another interesting article on The Family Circus. The cartooning gene seems to run in the family with two sons working in that field. You might want to change this sentence: . . . are strips (reputedly) drawn . . .

Wow Brett,
you really did your research on this article. I never knew most of the stuff that you wrote about. I missed the new hairdo I guess. I haven't read a newspaper for ages. I miss them though. Barfy. I had forgotten about Barfy. Thanks so much for going to such lengths for this post. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.

Bill, this is very interesting about the Family Circle comic strip. I remember reading that. I used to love reading the comics from the Sunday Newspaper. I love the artwork you chose to go with your words. I look forward to reading your next one! Blessings, Teri

Well done. Nicely crafted. I didn't know any of this history. Neither did I know that I was in on the ground floor since I began reading the strip in about 1960.
perputedly drawn by Billy = You got me on this one (reputedly?)
Best wishes.

You mentioned many of my favorite parts of 'Family Circus'. I could relate because raising four boys, some of the situations were very similar. I can't wait to read about 'Beetle Baily'. I didn't grow up reading this comic, but my husband did and introduced me to him.
