Hi Tina
One of the most soothing, happy pieces of writing I've read today. I never truly wanted to be anyone else. I don't understand sometimes why some people do not like me, but I'm happier than I can say, that it is okay to just be me. Thank you for sharing your verse with us today.

A lovely poem that has a beautiful message! The author's words are
descriptive, give good advice and are creative. Thank you for the author's notes - they compliment this poem. I really enjoyed the last 2 stanza and how it encourages one to be "uniquely you"! The artwork and how it is used in this poem is extremely creative and goes well with these words. Great Poem, Tina!

WOW! Ephesians 2:10 is my favorite verse and I just paid to have it printed on my headstone. Did you know that the word "workmanship" comes from a root word from which we derive our word, "poem". So, one way you can read it is that we are all part of God's poem. As in a poem some lines rhyme, some are long, some short, etc., God made us all different to fit together and fulfill his purpose.

We are part of His poem and purpose! I love this! I did not know that about the word, "workmanship" so thank you. Also thanks for the reminder that we are all meant to work together for His purpose, not just individually.

Though succinct this piece may be you have fought the woke battle and won, for I agree an pine cannot become a pine, nor a boy a girl or a woman a man.

That honestly was not my full intention, but a "happy accident" of sorts.
We are made on purpose for God's purposes was my thinking, but hey, I'm okay with winning any woke battle!

This reminds me of a book called Elephants are not Birds. It follows the same principle. Your poem says a lot while staying subtle and caring. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Hello Tina Crute,
It's a nice piece of Self Improvement Poetry, having PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and BEAUTIFULLY depicting its theme.
Last two stanzas, particularly the last one, are highly noteworthy.
BEST of LUCK in the contest!

This is so true. We all need to have faith that we are who we are supposed to be, and God has a plan for us. I love how you started off with reference to the trees wanting to change. Seems like so many are not happy with themselves anymore.

Amen to that. People aren't satisfied, but God is. I wish they understood how special they are to Him:) Thanks for your kind review!

This poem, The Design, presented with four ABCB-rhymed quatrains, reminds the readers that we are all unique and made for a purpose under Heaven. ............

Thank you, Bill. The one word that sticks out to me in this review is 'a.' A purpose under Heaven. Such a grand thought that God's plan was made just for us. That's what I was trying to convey!
