Hi Rhonda. I believe both Sandra and Ian would be so touched by this. Poetry is an expression of internal emotions and you have such beauty in yours. This is a stunning example of how you feel about Sandra's loss and I'm sure she is deeply touched by your words.

The only way I knew you "weren't much on poetry" was by that admission. Skill-wise, you seem like a seasoned vet.
What a BEAUTIFUL gift this is to Sandra. This is a gorgeous tribute. You're a wonderful friend and very talented poet. Lovely job, Rhonda. xo

Rachelle, that is an enormous compliment, thank you. I dabble in poetry now and then, but usually when there?s something on my heart that can?t be expressed any other way, but besides rhyme, rhythm and syllable count, I?m a novice.
I?m glad I was able to capture my thoughts this way and pass them on to Sandra.
Take care,
Rhonda

This is a beautiful poem which succinctly captures Ian's life within these four tercets. Life can be long; made longer by disability. The same way, it can be lived with grace and determination. I sense the latter was the case here. To Ian...

Thank you for your review, Bill! I did try and capture the positive aspects of the man?s life, while acknowledging grief. I know she must be sad.
Take care,
Rhonda

This is a beautiful poem. It's very thoughtful of you to post this on behalf of Sandra's brother Ian.
It's endearing to see others put thought into other peoples greif.
I'm sure she'll appreciate this lovely piece.

Hi Kerry! It was great pleasure to write for Sandra! She?s a dear heart, and grief is grief, and we can all relate to that. I?m sure her heart has been strengthened by all the outpouring of support from all of us!
Take care,
Rhonda

Absolutely, Rhonda. Everyone will endure grief at some point in life, unfortunate, but true.
It was a lovely dedication.

This is a very beautiful poetic tribute to Ian who sadly passed away recently. As a 'new' member of Fanstory I can only comment on what I've hear about him and I think your poem probably describes him well

Hi Wendy. None of us knew him on here, but his sister, Sandra, is a much loved writer on this site. The book is to honor his life for Sandra.
Take care,
Rhonda

My dear friend. Thank you. These words were so much my brother. He was very much loved by so many people, I just have to read all the messages on Facebook. He inspired so many people with his attitude to life. I will miss him daily. Thank you, Rhonda, for capturing my lovely brother. Sandra xxx

I?m so glad you said that, Sandra. It was very much God inspired. I sat down to write something, and this poem is what flowed out, which I seldom write poetry, so the inspiration had to be divine.
When I read your post I felt I had captured something I understood, but didn?t know. I?m glad it spoke to you, and thank you for the six stars. That?s how I know it hit home.
Love you,
Rhonda

Your job with this poem and it's from the heart. And that's what means the most. So a gentleman passed and I hope that Debbie and her family are doing well. Your punctuation think it's a fine poem. Thank you you'll show some lovely script and it's aesthetically pleasing too! A great submission I wish you best to luck having awesome day!

No need for excuses. This is lovely. So clever. The refrain works beautifully and you subtly and sensitively convey your love to Sandra and her brother. Well done!

Thank you so much, John. Whatever is written from the heart, I believe, come through where needed. I?m just out of my comfort zone with poetry, but couldn?t think of a better way to express my thoughts but through poetry.
