I like how there is a second theme underlying "spring" here. The idea of a "return." Winter freezes everything and then with spring comes this great return of how things were or a continuation. The water being freed, the birds coming back, the mother bear with her cubs...I think I would have like to have seen that continued in the last stanza; that would have tied everything nicely all together.

I love the genuine honesty of this piece. I think it is super brave of you to write about spring before winter has arrived.

I can understand your love for the spring especially if you live in the northern part of the United States or Canada where the winters are so severe. A beautifully written and presented rhyming poem.
