I am so sorry for your loss. Your poem made me want to cry. I can identify with the pain of losing a pet. Very well written. I wish you the very best in the contest.
With kind regards

Sorry for the loss of Tiddles. It's always hard to lose our fur babies.
I loved reading about what he meant to each one in your family. I especially loved that he was a dolly for the girls.
Your rhymes were good and your rhythmn flowed nicely. Good luck in the contest.

Aww I'm so sorry Barry! These cats become so much a part of our families and can feel like a tragic loss. He was truly beautiful and what an age he reached! All credit to the family for his care and the love he shared. I'm not sure whose perspective this is from as it seems to be a child. But your verse tells a lovely story and is a fine tribute while his final resting place couldn't be better chosen. Thanks for sharing Debbie

I've told this story before. We had a rescued cat, Chloe. After awhile, we saw she was suffering. The vet misdiagnosed her. I held her in her favorite blanket as she sweetly passed away, with a very peaceful look. I realize the grief a loss like this can cause. After all, it's part of a family that has been lost.

Jim, thanks for your review. Yes, pets of all kinds can certainly become part of the family. Tiddles was such a pet. No good to see them suffering though. You take care and have a wonderful day.

The best cat I ever met was a Garfield sized thing named Lord Tiberius Esquire III otherwise known as...Tibbers. They really do leave lasting memories. May those paws be frolicking in a heavenly garden.

This poem, Tiddles, presented with seven AABB-rhymed quatrains, is a final send up for the cat who was obviously a family favorite. Now into the garden to chase the moles beneath.

Awww, Tiddles sounds like he was loved by all (even your father). I have had cats all my adult life; currently two Seal Points. They are smart, love to play, and are so loyal to their humans. Best cats I've ever had.

Thank you for sharing this sweet pea with us.

Yes, pets are like the shining stars in our lives. Amidst the darkness they are the brightness. Though they do pass away, they will always have a place in our hearts. Tiddles was a beautiful cat. We lost our Winnie in April. But I think of her every time I see a butterfly...
