I am in total agreement with the sonnets, Bill. My meter is always wrong too. Congrats on the contest win, it was a fun poetry read for someone who can do nothin' with 'em.
Cheers

LOL, Congratulations on winning the no rules poetry contest. Bill, I do not think anyone can say this poem is no good, because it won! That mean validation for creativity. Excellent. Terry.

Heh! I love this poem too. I like poems that rhyme. I also like poems that make me giggle, and this one does both! I also try to write free verse, and accidentally end up making it rhyme..... I just can't help myself!

I was told once that if the rhyme comes naturally then leave it, but if another word fits as well and means something use it. Now that I have written that, it doesn*t seem that helpful.

A fine post for this contest and I congratulate you on your win Bill, this post certainly obeys no rules as it is unruly and scatty and this is why it is perfect for this contest, a well deserved win, love Dolly x x x

Hi Bill,
This is a cute poem which shows how hard and confusing poetry can be. Also, how many different kinds there are. It shows how humbling writing can be.
Congrats on winning the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day.

Ha! Congratulations on your win in the contest and for taking a humorous dig at the (sometimes faintly ridiculous) limitations that certain poetic forms place upon us. Nice work - well done!
