Wow what a very sad but beautiful well written piece of poetry Gypsy. The vividly descriptive imagery is beautiful in each stanza. The artwork is perfect for your poetry too. Very sad but exquisite!

This is a profoundly powerful response to a devastating experience. The tight structure and repetition of the phrase "reach up" really help here to illustrate the role of God as your inspiration and sustenance during that time of dire need. All of His creation "reach up" as well in each stanza, so that in the midst of a deeply personal response, there is also a broader reflection of God's connection to the rest of the planet and life beyond ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Everyone needs someone or something to believe in.
I don't see how anyone can get by without it. If there is nothing to look up to, or aspire to, what is life? You wrote well. Karen

This is a very emotional work with a lot of depth. Grief can be so strong we do not want to feel anything at all anymore. Suicide is often about the need to get away from a heavy world.

I am glad you wrote this excellent posting because it might help someone else gain the will to carry on once more. Of course, God is always the answer to any of the difficulties life constantly throws at us. Thank you for sharing, Gypsy! X X Lily

Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking story with us. Yes, I do understand that level of grief. When my baby died, I was in a similar situation. I fought with God and my religion. Guess what? He never left my side. I, now, have a stronger faith because of it.

I'm sorry for your baby's death, that's even worse than losing a child.

I appreciate your exceptional six stars review and understanding words.

A powerful post not only to the heartache of being abandoned and grieve, but to your own strength to pick up the pieces and move on.
Your presentation and words are biting and hard hitting.
Good luck in the contest.
Mary

I am so glad you found the will to live again. I read this with trepidation and was willing to reach out if necessary to help you in need.
The picture you chose is brilliant it shows a person curled up in a ball wishing their lives would end soon. The no rules poem is written well and speaks to the sad and lonely one of us who needs comfort and support.

That's a great testimony Gypsy, oh yes indeed, there are so many problems in the world these days, the bees are declining, trees of course soak up the carbon dioxide and dispense the oxygen to us, beautifully written, blessings Roy
