This was well written. Yes there is a grace yet wildness in all pets. I like how you start with the word conodrum and end with never solved .It makes the poem 's essence remain while still allowing it to flow. Good job!

Ooooooh!! I LOVE this one!! The nine-count line was AWESOME!! Great concept. And, of course, "a riddle never solved" was a great way to come full circle and finish with a flourish. I also like this part:
: The cat - domestic, but never tamed.
So, to summarize: I loved every single line of this nonnet. I haven't read all the entries yet, but at the moment, this one's got my vote!! Super work.

Those cats hold their cards close to their chests! They may let you think you know them, but they always have some sort of hidden secret. You captured the mystique of the cat well in your nonet.
