Hi Tom,
This is a well done rhyming free verse about how frustrating writer's block is and how it makes you doubt your ability and self.
You are a good a photographer as you are a writer.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Good luck in the contest.
Have a good rest of your day.

Thanks for being in my corner.

To clarify I use Grammarly before releasing and has than but it suggested then. My wife asked as you if it should be than so I went back and changed it only to have Grammarly mix it so I re-ededited it to then. I think you and
My wife are
Right.

Yep. I understand. Perhaps you've been reading my mind. Or trying to - there's nothing in there to read at present. Well done. Best wishes for your entry.

This is so fun. And it describes the turmoil filed under the heading of "Writer's Block." I think my favorite stanza was this one:
Yet, with no subject present
I'm a fully stuffed pheasant,
well-done and presented
as a tasty meal - uncooked
But I liked the one with "doo-dads" in it a lot, too.
Very well done offering. I hope it does well for you in the polls, Mystery Contestant. xo

Uh-oh. You just outed yourself, Blind Contestant. Do a quick delete.

Okay, not to sound like a re-enactment of Abbott and Costello, but how what?

It would be ironic to win a writing contest that is based upon your having writer's block, but that's what this is and you wrote out your writer's block most effectively. No suggestions but for you to be there at the top!

Pooh-bear never wrote like this, but I can imagine Piglet pawing the ground and Tigger rolling about helplessly. Oh just a moment, whilst I think of Disney, Winnie the Poo rolled about to !

You convey the feelings that so many of us have at times really successfully. This is a great response to the prompt and I wish you the best of luck in the competition.

That's the way to go, Tom, make fun poems, cheer yourself up and everyone of us as well. Life has enough problems without sitting looking at a blank sheet of paper, waiting for inspiration from our muse that seems to have gone off on holiday. I enjoyed this poem, it's great for the contest, and has made me smile! Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xx

I think I recall your name from the past, but alas, even if not your comments are appreciated. Thank you.

I keep a notebook of opening lines in my purse wherever I go. I write thoughts, ideas, and first lines, ready to be prompts when I am stuck. Also to clear my head of I can't do it behavior, I go on Pinterest to look at videos of laughing babies. Who can be depressed after that? Good work here. Karen

To get into this challenge

There is that, but this stuff does work for me.. having a writers block is like constipation. And I think having you change the midset about writing was the whole point.:-)
