This is such a very sad poem!! You have described the pain and anguish you have felt about the death of "a bard" very descriptively. Thanks for sharing your very sad poem.

You used an excellent image for your illustration. The poem flowed well and gave a visual reference...such as the color of the eyes. I do wish the text were larger. I want that more with each passing year, and at some point, I will skip over small texted entries in favor of larger ones.
Thanks for writing.

Wonderful entry for the
Rhyming Poetry Contest.
Excellent word imagery and presentation.
Love it... "Your eyes, pure blue, would hold that hint
of impishness, a feisty hue." Great description.
Good luck in the contest!

I am sure your old friend would have loved to know your memories are still strong and that you have written this beautiful poem as a tribute. Losing someone we care about is always a difficult situation to undergo. Best wishes in the rhyming contest!

Its so hard when good friends pass. It leaves a friend-shaped hole in your heart that only memories can fill. But the memories are not solid like cement, they're fluid like bubble tea always waiting to be churned up.

A great entry for the contest. Your rhyme and rhythm are assured and unforced and the message of this poem is sweet and heartfelt. Well done and good luck.

A lovely poignant rhyming poem that takes you down memory street to ther days. I loved the 'hint of impishness' in blue eyes, reminded me of twinkling in hazel eyes. Beautifully written and I wish you luck in the contest. Cheers

good rhymes that got your feelings across; however, when I got to your authors note, I was surprised at "old friend." It seemed much more than that in the poem, at least to me. At any rate it's sad, and a good entry for the contest.

Could have been more, maybe, but time never really allowed that. He was a dear friend and still missed, been 13 years
