My favorite period of writing came from a teacher, I assume like you, who invited me to read to her creative writing class once each semester. When she retired, I got tired of not writing for the children.

I enjoyed your cute story very much. For many years, we've had 3 dogs and one "cog" ... our cat that thinks she's a dog! Lol
She eats, sleeps and goes outside with the dogs when they do. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to hear a bark come from her...

I liked how you described the differences between Max and Harley, their comradery, and the tones of their voices. You clearly showed the bond that they shared. The twist where Harley was so concerned and tried to warn Max of danger, allowed him to do something extraordinary and save his brother's life. Good story, a great message.

Now isn't that a wonderful story, our dog is a 5 kg Moodle, a cross between and poodle and a Maltese terroir, my daughter owns a 45kg female Rottweiler, yet they are the best of friends we look after the Rottweiler three days a weekly our Moodle is the boss, this fabulous tale reminded me of that.
