You are right that hate, greed, and anger are of NO benefit to humanity, and ultimately harm those who have such attitudes more than their victims.
You are also right that our surface appearance is irrelevant to our kinship as children of the same God, regardless of the name by which we call Him.
Those who spend their time promoting chaos, divisiveness, unpunished crime, and/or lies to incite hatred based on envy, in order to gain tyrannic power and consequent illicit enrichment, will always be real enemies of the rest of us. Sooner or later, unless we steadfastly resist, all freedom and its many benefits to health and happiness will fade away.
Reminders such as your post are important.

This has Such a good cadence to it. Really good flow. And the Cain and Abel lines. That entire section. Unstable etc. Word choices are excellent. I really enjoyed the theme too. God bless. And Yes I know that's what He wants. Love. :)

I have found some more free sites. Unsplash, vecteezy, and the motherload of them all..Pinterest!
Just mention where you get them from when you use them. The only problem with Pinterest is that I can spend hours watching videos of babies laughing.
Nice poem. We all wonder why people have to fight. I wonder what would happen if God simply took away all bombs, missiles, poisons, guns of all types, and if people wanted to fight they had to do it face to face and one on one. Would it slow down violence?
Have a blessed week. Karen

Thank you, Karen, I appreciate your comments. I agree with you. If people could only fight face to face and not be able to fight anonymously, I think more fights would be fair or nonexistent at all.

go look at Pinterest at babies laughing your mood will get gobs better. Karen

I have three great-grandchildren who live with me currently. They make my days so much brighter. They usually provide much joy and laughter.

Well, they will keep you from taking yourself too seriously, and that's a fact. If I had one thing to say, I would be, when you say no, mean it, and back it up. Blessings to you and yours. Karen

This is a great and very true poem you have penned my friend. I am so thankful I had six stars to give you for this six star poem. Hate does make a body sick and it hurts others in their path. God is a God of love, not hate. Thank you for sharing. I think I will bookcase this so I can read it again. Blessings, Teri

Thank you, Teri. I am so thankful that God put this poem in my heart and on my mind so that I could share it. I take no personal credit, as the entire poem is by inspiration from the things I have learned by careful study of the Bible and world events.

Of course hate is an ugly and harmful thing. It seems to hurt the hater more than the hated though. I have much faith in the Father Son and Holy Spirit. I usually sense and quickly turn away from hate. Love Conquers All and God Is Love. That's how I feel. Excellent writing!
Best wishes,
Alex

Thank you, Alex. You exhibit wisdom in your approach to love versus hate. Nothing good is ever gained by hating what is good and loving what is bad. An approach like that is against what God in fact approves of.

I agree. You're welcome!

I think you articulate the message of the salvation of Christ simply and clearly in this post. You state how we are trapped in this earthly pattern of hate and sin, and how, through the grace of Christ's suffering and death, we have an escape hatch to leave it all behind. And start a new life. There is the darkness of the sin, but also the light at the end of the tunnel. estory

Your power of accurate perception is excellent. That, my friend, is what this struggle is all about. Satan the Devil is God and man, whom God created, mortal enemies. Satan will do all that he can to bring us down to destruction. When we hate our fellow beings for whatever reason, we play right into his hands.
Comment from Bill Schott
This poem, Haters, takes a biblical theme to note the hatred that exists in the world, which, ironically, seems to do a lot with religious beliefs. Of course, if it wasn't that, whatever else feeds that need to hate would suffice.
