Aww. You old romantic, you! Such a sweet episode. And you were right; there were to be more surprises in store. Excellently written and most enjoyable, as usual.

I love this story with Allie anf kevin attracted to each, and they had been one person all the way through, you have connected the same two people all the way through, and that was the reason for the meeting. But where to from here, beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

Thanks so much, Roy. It's been leading up to this and can only go one way from here. I think you know me well enough by now, Roy, to predict the final outcome.

Oh wow! So you brought it full circle by having Allie experience everything that Kevin did and made a kind of "reincarnation" story, except that last couple they were embodying are still living so that could be awkward. I am glad that Kevin finally met his match and sounds like Art brought them together!

I didn't want to respond to your guess from the previous chapter, because you were right on, Helen, and I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Your remarks are very perceptive, including the one you just made about reincarnation which you will see in one of the last two chapters. You could have written this story!

Lol. No way. Remember I'm just reading the storyline you're the golf expert! I'm still hoping you get it published!

I must be a romantic at heart because I manage to work a little romance into all my golf stories. Thanks for your great review, Lea!

So, all along you've been saving the game of golf, through Calvin's spirit. I like that!

And I love this chapter - talk about the ultimate romance, this is it!

I think this is my favorite chapter because it's all coming together, and because I'm a sucker for romance.

Can't wait to see how it ends.

I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter, Pam. This was my favorite chapter to write. This was quite different from how I initially planned to write the story. Kevin was always going to meet Allie at the end, but it wasn't until fairly late in the writing that I thought to have Art Calvin make another appearance and to have Allie go on the same time travels but in the minds of the three "A"s. That part just grew in the telling and revealed itself to me. Comes with being a pantser.

I have heard many authors say that their characters begin to tell them what to write.

This is a great ending to the romance part of the story. Throughout all time the lovers find each other once again. I'm looking forward to seeing the success of the golf project.

You know I'm a fan of romance so I'm glad you were able to fit that into this golf story. LOL Thank you for sharing.

Oh Jim, what an incredibly romantic interlude with this amazing connection that was always meant to be! Your story, clearly and compellingly, brings all the strands of your book together in a really satisfying way and I find myself at the end of your chapter with a big smile on my face, recognising the logical sequence of each of the time travel experiences. So clever! Well done! Romance, science and sport - such versatility! Debbie

If you've already gotten this reply, Debbie, it's because I wrote it once already and the system is fooling me into thinking I haven't replied yet. It's probably because I forgot to send it, but here it is again.

Thank you so much for this. I have to confess that the thought of having Allie meet Art Calvin and go through the time travels herself into the minds of the three women came to me quite late in the writing. I had always intended that Kevin would meet a woman who looked like his three wives, but that's what comes of being a pantser; you go where the story takes you. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Well, I would call this divine intervention but I'm not sure what Art Calvin is anymore. Perhaps you should title this Golf of Fate.

This was an unexpected chapter, well, not them hooking up, that was foreshadowed, but continuation of the supernatural and time travel elements. I do worry about the stakes of all this.

Well written, and I guess we all know the conclusion. Wedding bells on a golf course, with Art waving in the background?

No. He's the one marrying them!

I'm not really sure what Art Calvin is anymore either. In my initial concept of the story, before I started writing it, he wasn't a ghost but just a sad old guy. I also never intended Allie to be a time traveler too. Funny where the story takes you when you start telling it.

Well, well, well...
Very nicely written. Good work.
Any particular reason Allie is unattached? I'm always amazed that in movies when two beautiful people meet, they are always available, not husbands or wives or boyfriends or girlfriends.
Maybe if Allie made a comment that before coming to the meeting she'd called the man she'd been dating to tell him she'd found someone else?
Best wishes.

Thanks, Wayne. I never really thought about anyone else for Allie or Kevin. I guess they were just waiting for each other. :)
