Oh my goodness! I've never seen haiku like this before. You crafted such a compelling story and deployed it powerfully. The visual imagery accompanying your words is so evocative as well. I'm sure this will trigger many adults with memories of being a small child and hearing the monsters in the dark. I was a very intelligent child and I slept with a permanent night light. :)

A spooky Halloween tale. Mother may not know about the monster, but is sounds like Dad does and he made a deal to save himself. Poor little boy, does he get to make a deal? And will he? Nice chilling story to leave goosebumps on the skin.

Rather an eerie tale of the thing that lurked within the walls and crawled under a little clilds bed. As children we all had something hiding under the bed. Your poem brought it all back. Well done

One tribute to Dean Kuch, Gypsy. This was a truly horrific haiku, I can only imagine someone who promised his son. They were terrible pictures throughout the entire process. How could someone promise his son? That's the true horror of someone dealing with the devil! Blessed Be n Hugs!!!
