I like the Zits strip but there was one odd thing about it. Early on there was a college age son who appeared a half dozen times or so and disappeared completely. At least I thought I remembered that and someone else I know thinks they remember it also. You write a good article promoting Zits.

Hello Brett,
I'm not familiar with Baby Blues. I may have read Zits in the past, but I don't read the newspaper anymore- too biased. I should buy it just for the comics I suppose, but I think The Far Side hasn't been in a paper for years. I used to love Nancy when I was a kid, primarily because the print was large and not a lot of words. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed day.

What an interesting story. You covered quite a lot in here. I am still hanging out for more of your UNwanted Dog story as I think it has probably moved to older years, by now.

Perhaps one day Unwanted Dog will make another appearance. Still some things could be shared in that book.

I love research and well researched writing. You told me many things I did not know. I will be glad to read all your work as it shows up in my box. You write with feeling about the things you love. Karen

I 'm not familiar with Zits or Baby Blues but Nancy at one time was a favorite cartoon. I'm surprised the original author died so young. I do remember the Nancy Cartoon changing in looks. It seems to me it was an improvement. I'm enjoying your series on cartoons.

Yes, we know the comic strip of Zits. My husband in particular goes for comic strips. Your comic strip history is very interesting and well researched. I am surprised at how many there are.

I thought I might know about every comic strip ever created, but I found a list of comic strips in Americas and quickly learned that I didn't know very many at all. :-) Thanks for sharing.

I swear I don't think I've ever seen this comic before. But I'm going to look it up after this review. I like the history you are giving as well as the motivation of the artists. Great information presented in a very interesting way. Gretchen

Another iconic write-up in this excellent series.
It is almost impossible to believe just how successful these guys were and are - 1700 newspapers simultaneously! Doesn't that make you richer than Elon Musk? Well, it's certainly success, Jim, but not as we know it!
Brilliant research on Jerry Scott to bring us so much detail, and splendidly written, with great economy of language. I look forward to what follows.
Thanks very much, Brett.

As I said before, not very familiar with this genre, due to the fact that I was born in a country where to write had to be approved, but I am fascinated with what you present. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Appreciate your comments and review. Would not want to be born in a country that must approve every breath one takes, or what they write.
