Giving off more "I know what you did last summer" vibes. The chapters seem to be progressing well. I would still emphasize more details regarding how people look, smells, sounds, etc. it will help for visualizing the characters.

Thank you Janis.

How curious, this fleshing out of characters here in chapter five!
Clever you!
William lurked between every line even as I came to understand that Angela has much to lose if the past catches up with her!

This is another excellent chapter. You have moved the story along nicely. I look forward to the next chapter. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

This chapter helps us get to know Angela and her relationship with her boss and her great relationship with her husband. We still don't know what happened in the past with William and why she was hoping he wouldn't be hired where she works. Nice written. I'm looking forward to more.

I am seeing more into her life, but do not have even a crumb of insight into what happened to her. Was it "date rape" ? Did William briefly break up with Caz, take her out, and take her virginity without a second of thought or care? Or, did he in fact calculatingly rape her, and told guys she gave it uo easy and was a bad lay? Karen

I wonder what happened twenty years ago that affect the present day. I love the thoughts of the first person, as always, it sounds like our own minds drifting in and out of observation, but not necessarily other people's global perspective, beautifully written, blessings Roy

I enjoyed reading this post. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened twenty years ago.
'Well, that's a big relief, I can just make scrambled eggs,' I laughed. (period after 'eggs.' Laughed isn't a speech tag, it's an action tag.)
'Please don't say in a microwave,' he grinned. (period after 'microwave.' Grinned is an action tag.)
'Yeah, I don't mind, shall I book the Crown?' he says. (maybe 'he asked.')

You are keeping us in suspense about something that happened 20 years ago, unless you mentioned it in a post I have missed. When something like this is hanging over you it is hard to live a normal life, but she has her husband to keep her stable, another fine chapter Jacob, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x
