A really engaging read from the start, Jacob. The mystery surrounding William continues and you've created some great suspense here as we're obliged to await for bossy Olivia's decision, despite Angela's failed attempt to influence her. A clever introduction of those other friends in Angela's past. This story is building up nicely. You have injected good pace and there's excellent character building emerging from the dialogue. Nicely written.
Sometimes it always isn't. - Better to leave out 'always'.
It seems odd that an island nation the size of England (Great Britain) can have so many accents and dialects. But then again, the small state of Arkansas has three.

Come on, tell us. What happened? Of course, William gets the job, he wouldn't have been mentioned otherwise. And there is bound to be conflict because
either William won't remember, and that will tick her off. or he does remember but does not care.

Hmm, this is a brief chapter. I think it shows us who her boss is, touches on their relationship. It also highlights her current state, maybe her age (40+) and regrets. We also get bit of what she currently worried about.
The writing and editing are good.

cupboard doors left open. (This caused me to laugh. Before my youngest son, Steven, I have four sons, left home, my third son and his wife, Katie came to visit for Christmas. Katie had let her dog out before I got out to the kitchen. When I got there, she said, 'Barbara, you either have a ghost or a
poltergeist. All the cabinet doors were open.' I smiled. "No, I have a Steven, who comes out late at night and gets a snack and never closes a door.')
