What a great haiku, Gypsy. The dual pictures showed both a lonely young woman sitting at the end of pier and a wonderful wave of the ocean. This was a fantastic haiku, your words proved that you watched the boats roll by. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

When life gets too much, we can do along the beach and listen to the waves and it's very calming. At least I think so. Your presentation is the beauty we've come to enjoy and expect from your post. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

It's amazing if you listen to nature how you learn to trust it. You find a little bit of yourself in the natural flow of nature. This was a stirring piece. Anytime anxiety rears its ugly head with me, I walk to the beach and just listen. Sometimes the answers are hidden on the tide. Gretchen

Hi MariVal,
your image fits the poem perfectly... and is also stunning!
The way in which you tie your first two line with your satori gives strength to the movement... whether that be waves, or indeed the incoming tide bringing the knowing of the echoes of friendship.
I seem to take on a personal set of emotions as water. Ocean, waves separate continents and countries, yet also tether us all together within its entity.
This haunting Haiku swirls around in my minds eye searching distant shores in the silence of our aloneness=all oneness!
Absolutely a beautiful presentation, composition and construction seƱorita MariVal.
With our thoughts we create...
the trade winds of connection.
Warmest regards,
James.

This kind of solitude is healing and pleasing and I enjoyed the ambience here.
I have a suggestion for the last line:
(befriended (are) waves)
Much enjoyed.

That's the great thing about nature. We can make friends with the moon and the waves and they will always understand and listen. Well said and I like your illustration, too!
