Hi Judith
This poem give strong images of the country to love. In the beginning it almost sounds like a human love affair not just national love and pride.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

It is about a human love affair. With a man born in El Salvador
-
I this affair is ongoing and long distance, I hope it?s going well.

Joa. If you look carefully, I said the man was born in El Salvador. I did not say he lives there. I did not even say it is about me
You do this all the time
-
I'm tired of explaining to you

Carlos IS from El Salvador. But lives here. But we are no longer together. Really I'm not sure though why you assume everything I write is about me
-
This poem is about me BuT many of my poems are not.

Sorry, if I offended you in any way. But the few words in this poem just had such a personal feel to them that I thought this was autobiographical. But I don't assume every poem is

The nearest I have been to El Salvador is Jamaica. El Salvador is a Spanish speaking country in South America. I know very little about the place except they fly their own flag. Like many of these countries I expect it is a dangerous country. I thought Brazil was dangerous and there are thieves everywhere and they don't mind punching you to get what they want. I wonder if you have been there Judith as you speak from the heart with your warm embracing poem, love Dolly x x x

I have not been there. It is a very very dangerous country. The gangs there abduct and murder people all the time. The people are like prisoners in there homes, afraid to go out. Carlos was born in El Salvador; it is from the heart this poem about him, though we are no longer together we remain friends

I visited Brazil and it is just the same there, you could lose your life for a dollar, love Dolly x x x
