Virtual six for this stunning poem! I'm sorry to have missed this as I've been on a long vacation with my family. This is truly an autumnal treasure crafted by your talented hand. I quite agree with your view. There is beauty all around even during trial.
Sending you my best today as always, dear Janet, and love and blessings to you all.

WOW! Haven't been around for a while and yours is the first review I'm writing. What a great job you have done with this excellent poem. Capturing more than the beauty of God's creations by blending them with many colors of human inner emotions.
Beautiful work, my friend, and happily, has received the recognition deserved. I am happy to say, "bravo"!

Spring is a safe bet, however it doesn't last long enough.

-Lovely image and nice presentation, Janet.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-A well written poem with effective imagery and rhyme.
-You do a good job showing the beauty of
October in the opening verses.
-You make a good transition as you
think about fears being blown away
like the leaves falling from the trees.
-In the next verse there are concerns
and questions as winter is ready to begin.
-A very good closing verse showing how
you are finding joy in October in other ways.
-Well done. Thanks for sharing it.

I like the rhythm in this poem. It captures Fall through the liberal use of colour. The metaphor of fear as leaves works well and the darker months of winter are well defined in the latter half of the poem. I wonder if there could be more clarity as to who the fear belongs to. At first it seems general and at the end it seems to be personal.

I like how the poem has a hopeful ending and pretty imagery. I don't like winter either and I am starting to like autumn better now. I'm glad that this poem was recognized. Good job!

You earned it
I like your human sentiment in the falling leaves and darkening days.
And above all the (futile) hope of better to come.
Hope is eternal.
Where would we be without it. :-))Z.
