What an important senryu, Gypsy. The dual pictures were so important that they showed what was so important. Your words were important because they related to childhood cancer. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Yes, the cancer ward is where dreams and wishes happen. Thank you for sharing this post with us. October is Breast Cance Awareness Month. I know I am praying more than normal for all cancer patients.

Well, this broke my heart. But even those who are fighting a terrible battle have hope. And if a tiny seed from a dandelion can carry that hope it's amazing and beautiful. What a lovely piece. Gretchen

love the pink hue of the first pic - gives it a more innocent feel for the girl in the senryu
i like going from dandelion seeds to a cancer ward back to the seeds for a wish - circle of life

It's always fun to blow those seed heads but what a pain for the gardener the following spring when they just bloom like crazy.
You add more emotion to the wish-making because of the situation of the girl in the cancer ward. Well told story.

Oh my God...
It's fall here in New Jersey yet I saw some dandelions today and you posted a poem.
Your poem trumps what I saw. Wonderful words and blessing to anyone in a cancer ward!
Thank you,
John

Very moving and poignant senryu, Gypsy.
Cancer is such a vicious, indiscriminate challenge and all too often, killer.
To be stricken with cancer at any age would be devastating... but to be stricken when young = no words...
Thank you for sharing!
