I am guessing the twisted tree has to do with the twisted hands of arthritis. Maybe I have it all wrong. I know my husband has problems opening up some pill bottles because of arthritis. I enjoyed your presentation.

I couldn't decipher if the twisted tree was in reference to the bottle, tree itself or the arthritic hands trying to uncap the vial. At any rate it was an interesting tale in a poem anyway. Thanks for sharing. Gretchen

I like your humorous conclusion. We all start out as smooth saplings but we do get gnarled over the years especially if arthritis deforms the hands. Then it would be very hard to open bottles!
