The child with his belly laugh is a good way to start. Your suggestions for a relationship are very wise and offer the best hope for a long-lasting relationship with the person you are married to. Treating friends and family with the same respect makes for good relationships as well.

Well, I've agree with about everyone of your lines for life until this last one. "Always remember you are unique. Just like everyone else." To that last line, I said, everyone likes to think they are unique, but in reality, there isn't really that much difference between one of us than the other. And what little differences there are: "don't amount to a hill of beans." LOL. Thanks for sharing.

That line just cracks me up. The original quote was "We are all unique. I just jazzed it up a bit.

This is another excellent poem with valuable insight. I literally said some of this to my husband, today. You use descriptive words and colorful imagery that will draw in a readers. Many will relate. You should compile these into a book, if you haven't yet.

Your free verse poem contains some very good advice especially for newly weds or couples who are engaged. Marriage should be a lifetime commitment and it can be very hard work. Love this "Don't laugh at other people's mistakes, or if you do, at least cough or clear your throat to cover it up!" Good luck!
