No family, no one who loved me. Not a single soul in the world wondered if I still lived and breathed...
so sad to think of you at 15 alone in the forest with those thoughts. But the good thing is you had the strength to get out. Well written Lea,
cheers,
valda

Hello Lea,
on the one hand, it's probably a good thing that you weren't so far back in the boonies that you couldn't contact your friends. On the other, you're close enough to civilization that other people are going to utilize the woods. I imagine the old lady wasn't quiet about finding you in the area. It sounds like your area was much like Southeast Alaska. Skunk cabbage would sprout in the wet areas every spring. The brown bears liked to dig up the roots and eat it to clean them out after a long winter. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.

Hi Tom, thank you so much, I appreciate it. Yes, I'm in Southern BC and we have one of the world's only natural bogs remaining and in that bog hectares of it, skunk cabbage as far as the Eye can see. And huge. Suckers like 6 feet tall and higher! Alaska is truly beautiful. Was stunted pine forest as far as the Eye can see, gorgeous rolling hills and some areas, Majestic mountains and others.
Seem very much like British Columbia. Thank you again tom I appreciate your reviews everytime and and you deserve to kick up your heels, relax, march your favorite show, and have your favorite beverage, l o l have an awesome night, thank you again!

I like your opening introduction. It is draw the reader in. This was a very clever action. The reader is experiencing your attempts right along with you. Did you try out this on your own to see if it still works. I didn't like the twist life took for you. I had terrible changes in the direction things were going. Is there going to be more?

I'm wondering if the smoke from you camp fires is ever seen since smoke rises. Apparently people have been around that location before since there are stumps. I surprise that in summer some hiker hasn't found your camp site. You are doing a wonderful job of telling this story. It is quite an adventure but most young girls with have periods of depression while living like this and wondering what might be happening with your family.

Again Beth, I thank you so very much.
They are wonderfully well spoken writer and person. Yes, I put in a paragraph about camp fires. I think it's in my next installment. Thank you again so much, I'm so happy to have you alone on this journey. I hope you enjoy your evening as well. We'll talk again soon, thanks again.

This one was especially good. You took your time, you got us inside your head, you made us sense the potential impending problems, both long term (Fall) and short-term (the woman who kept appearing.) I also noticed your grammar and punctuation were much better this time. Great work.

Thank you Rachelle! I really appreciate your kind review. And the fine rating you gave. I'm running a grammarly program now. That might not correct everything, but it certainly helps. Your words of encouragement your helpful comments, your staunch loyalty. All the wonderful things about you does me a great honor I thank you again. I wish you a awesome evening and look forward to chatting with you!🙂😉🙃👍

My goodness. I'm afraid I can't remember all about the last post of yours that I read. What happened to your sisters? And what do you know now that you didn't know then? Or is that to be continued later?
This is certainly an unsettling post and I'm sorry.

The old woman was not concerned for your safety then? People can be cruel and un compassionate Lea. It must have been terrifying to be alone in the forest with little food and not one to confide in, I feel for you. Another fine chapter about your younger years. Love Dolly x x x

Thank you so much, yes, you're right. There were times when I say to wake a lot because I was scared and there were times when I stayed away. Cause I was hungry but there are times that exhaustion took over and I passed out regardless. But my exit from the forest comes soon. Thank you again so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them so very much. And I hope you are doing well!
Comment from Jim Wile
That was a pretty cruel remark from that woman when she saw you for the second time. You would think she'd realize from your age that you weren't the typical homeless person and have a little compassion.
What a plight to be in, Lea, to be in constant fear for your survival and to feel so alone with no one to love you or miss you. You were very strong to have survived that--much stronger than you probably felt at the time.
This is such a compelling tale, that it's the first thing I read in my long queue of notifications. - Jim

Thank you again, Jim, so happy you like them. And it's good for me too, to get it out there. Kind of like kicking out the moth balls from the closet.
Have you ever smelled moth balls? If so, how do you get their little legs apart? Lol... I know I have a terrible sense of humor thank you again, Jim, I hope you have an awesome night!

You cracked me up with that one, Lea!

It's lovely to hear of the happy moments, but there is so much danger lurking in the background. Please don't let things be too horrible; I care too much. x

Nothing was as horrible as that matter. The only thing that can't weigh a cross was my grandmother.
The terrible things they did my grandmother, my mother. My stepfather and others come together to Bury this. It's not goingna be buried anymore. Thank you john thank you for your caring and your kindness it's a great thing!

Thank you for sharing your story. How old were you when you found yourself homeless? My heart aches for you.
Powerful words strung carefully together make for melancholic but truly engaging reading. Take care. Karma has its way. Jacqueline xx
