I always do away with unnecessary words like an, the, a, etc but I leave them in when it sounds better. The goal is to be succinct but staying away from sounding like a telegram.

I like butterflies but I don't think I'd like that many butterflies offering me their kisses. It is a beautiful picture and the blue eyes remind me of your blue eyes which are stunning with the black hair.

Butterfly kisses. You get really close to the face a flutter your lashes. I used do it to my kids when they were little. (*<>*)

I wrote a haiku once on the same subject...

multi-colored wings
brush across her eyelashes
butterfly kisses

A butterfly kiss is when one person flutters their eyelashes on someone's cheek but I'm sure you know that.
Gorgeous presentation as usual with great connections between lines.
Such a beautiful subject to write about.
