This is beautiful! On my first great-grandson's birthday, his parents asked me to write a letter to him to be read on his 18th birthday. It was a fun mission and I hope it is truly being held somewhere. Thanks for sharing this lovely letter. ann

What a lovely idea this is to document your times together in a continuous stream of letters, an art that seems to be dying. More importantly, these memories will be cherished and lessons will be learned. All too soon, they are grown, and they will carry these memories and lessons in their hearts.

Powerful, rebellious and straight to the point. I too, have a four year old granddaughter named Eleanor. She rides horses, feeds and cares for the chickens and plays guitar with grandpa. Old McDonald farm is her favorite.

Over here, teachers are not allowed to post photos of children on Facebook or any social media without written permission from parents. It's generally a big "No no!", and is not done at all. Too many perverts and paedophiles lurking, and sometimes there is a domestic violence situation, or fear of abduction by a disenfranchised partner. Your family could consider requesting her to stop doing that.
