I'm not sure what happened but I know I reviewed this last night. It must not have gone through or if it did ignore the review you liked the least. This was passion at its finest. It had the sensual lines that teetered on the edge of eroticism but didn't go too far. Very well written. Gretchen

These are good tanka stanzas that follow the rules you set out in your notes. I never knew tankas had so many rules. I was just into the syllable and line count. The words and the artwork match well.

Yes, Tanka has a lot of rules but after you write a few it gets easier. It's a beautiful poetic form... my favorite. In Japan, Tanka is mostly written by women, at least the best ones. I think it's because women are more intouch with our feelings, but there are some sensitive men too.

I can see it would take some practice. If there weren?t any men in touch with their emotions then there would be no male poets. But maybe men just like the longer forms.
