This is a delightful read Yvonne as these two quirky friends go through life hand in hand while dreaming up adventures. This left me with a smile, thanks for that.
Cheers

Hello Yvonne,
I loved this poem. Surely you must have a stack of these set aside for your grandchildren when they visit? I think they would be delighted to have you as their grandma. Do you ever share your stories with them, like driving the bus and working in the morgue? I'd like to see more of those myself. Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed evening.

Have you read the Wally stories. Not asking you to review them. Don't please, but read them.

I don't think I have Yvonne. When I get a moment I'll take a look, thanks.
Blessings,
Tom

The author's words were fun to read! They made me smile a lot! The
poem is descriptive and creative. I really like the last stanza which says
what friendship is all about! The poem flows and connects well. The
artwork is awesome! Hi Yvonne, hope you are doing well!....Maria

That's what I always say, too! Like minds. Poor you if you have a mind like mine.

This makes me glad but also sad that I never had a starfish or a walrus for a friend but I did soar moe than a few times for a rebound, and tho i landed way to soon I felt as If I had flown over the moon.
Otherwise, I liked the story!

This is a great poem for children. I remember reading one of them before. Did you created a book of poem about these two.? This is a neat idea have two creatures of the sea to be best friends. I remember a childrens' poem about the walrus and the carpenter.

When I started this, I wasn't even thinking about that old poem. Yes, I'm put them in a book in my portfolio. Thanks so much, Beth.

Lol. That's so cute! I like this couple of friends much better than that old "Walrus and the Carpenter" who cunningly lured a bunch oysters away. These two just had fun with their imaginations!

Thank you. When I started writing these stories, I hadn't thought about that old poem.

-Love the artwork and very nice presentation.
-I remember your characters and you did
a great job with the poem.
-Animals make writing fun because
you can come up with anything, and
it still makes sense and is fun, too.
-One of my favorite images is
"my flippered friend."
-I like how the Walrus encourages his friend,
and the starfish even gets into the prospect
of a new adventure.
-The Walrus has a very good response, and
I like the concluding verse very much.
-I enjoyed your poem.

What will you do for an encore? I suppose you could try an updated version of Jabberwocky or perhaps the lobster quadrille. Lol.
I think the starfish is typecast as the Red Queen.

I don't know if there will be anymore Walrus/Starfish stories. But who knows? Thanks, Jim.

Very imaginative to think of a walrus and starfish together. You carried it off. Great idea to use the back and forth dialogue. The starfish has his doubts about their ventures, but the walrus is encouraging. The starfish needs that encouragement. It's sweet they become friends. It would be funny to see them together. Excellent rhyme. judi

Hi Yvonne,
This is a well rhymed story in a poem about close friendship and daydreams. I think all landbound animals may have this dream to fly.
Thus the invention of airplanes, helicopters and hot air balloons. And the myth Daedalus and Icarus.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great week.
