Beautiful imagery and presentation. We are just starting to see our fall beauty as our colors are late in beginning to change. Your words give me a peak of what is to come.
Best wishes,
Mary

Your poem reminds me of a conversation I had with my youngest son a few years ago. He was an adult. I told him that I loved him. He asked, "Mom, why do you always tell me you love me?" My answer, "Because I never want you to forget it." His response, "How could I? You tell me all the time. I've figured it out."
BOYS!!! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous presentation.

LoL. Boys are different than girls that way. My son can tell me he loves me but I have to say it first. My youngest daughter tells me all the time .. I know we both love our sons very much.

Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

I feel like this is from the point of Mother Nature / Mother Earth speaking to humankind. If only we can take care of the earth as we were supposed to from the very day of creation. Lovely poem!

Thank you, big sister. Yes, it's mother nature. We all need to take better care of our planet and natural resources. We get so much from it. I hope you had a great weekend.

This was an interesting tanka, Gypsy. Why worried about 'A Mother's Gift', they are all tied together. The gifts alone are wonderous to each of us. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

I'm going to assume that the mother in this poem is mother nature. The offering of the crimson and gold leaves suggest a gift or an honor bestowed. This was beautiful. Gretchen
