Thanks Santha for all your kind words. I appreciate it so much. The happy birthday poem for me was not accurate as far as the day. It was a very kind gesture and I appreciated it very much. My birthday is actually is
October 19th, but was able to read the poem before the day and will enjoy it all month long. Thanks again, my sweet friend.

This is a beautiful witness for you Lord, sweet lady. So many things you mention fit my life as well. You are a ray of sunshine in this darkened world.

Verna, thank you for this awesome and lovely review and comments for my spiritual poem. It is one of my favorite verses and I love what God gives to me whenever I pray before writing. I have a poem I wrote called, "God Wakes me up," and it describes the feeling of Him taking the reigns and takes my words out and puts His in. What an awesome feeling. I am doubly blessed to have you say those kind words to me about it. Thank you, my very sweet and dear friend for that.

Yes, sometimes, we can learn so much from children and their innocence. As we get older we acquire all these additional layers of complexity which can leave us confused and forgetting the basic qualities of gratitude and truth. Your verse skilfully conveys a need to return to our simpler, more humble self, inspired by faith. Thanks for sharing, Debi. Debbie

What a delightful review to return home to after being gone for a few days.
I can?t thank you enough Debbie, for the lovely comments. All went remarkably well at the reunion that I have been planning for months, so now to get some well needed rest. Lol. Thank you again, my very dear friend.

-A good image and nice presentation, Debi.
-You wrote a very good poem for the club topic.
-A very good opening verse, but hopefully you don't
feel you "fall short" very often.
-It is easy to set the bar too high and expect too much from yourself.
-As you indicate later, doing too much brings on stress.
-You have a very good conclusion to your poem
plus your "go to verse."
-Take care and be good to yourself; each of us deserves that
at least once in a while.

A wonderful poem and a prayer - and, hey! numero uno!
Well, that's good. I hope you're having a great time at your reunion as I write this.
As for our imperfections - well who has enough time to hear all of mine? Doing anything for a fortnight? And Jesus told us we would not get through the eye of that needle unless we ditched all our pride and adult baggage, pretensions, achievements - all 'dross' as St. Paul said - and some translations are more outspoken than that!
On the contrary, says our Lord, we 'must become as little children' to get to that home in heaven - through the 'narrow gate'. And all that is summed up in the wonderful verse in Micah - how do children come to us? With trust and humility. And we are all His children.
Love from Paul

Amen! Thank you for this lovely meditation and this is great for everyday. I think you should send it to a Christian magazine. Appreciate the gentle reminder that we will always short but God just requires us to respond to Him and He will give us the energy and strength for each day.

How was your reunion? Was thinking of you a lot today as I had my eyes checked and considering cataract surgery!

This is a terrific club entry, I like the direction you took it in.
I connected with this because when we go through tough times we can find solace through our spirituality or religion.
This verse ended with a positive message which I think is very important.

I enjoyed reading your spiritual poem. Your faith and message comes through clearly. Wonderful rhyming that flows well and doesn't sound forced. It's a well written poem with good form and composition.

Thank you for sharing one of your favorite verses. It is an excellent one. Also, great job as you meditate on how we all have shortcomings and need to depend on Him.
