After reading a couple of commentaries about cheating in blind voting booths, I decided to look back at a few of the contests where I didn't vote, and read all of the entries. What I've noticed for a long time was that many of the winners have that ethereal Hallmark feel (full disclosure, I've done the same on occasion, but am generally unconvincing). This entry, on the other hand, was honest, funny, and delightfully irreverent. In fact, it mirrors my current dilemma...am I doing some of this because I'm bored? At least I'm not the only one who's wondering.

Hey, Linda, hello. Thank you so much for the fantastic review and giant sixer. I grew tired of those Hallmark writes many years ago. Lol. Yes, I've used them too but that was when I was nearing the end of my fake cash funds just so I could win a contest. Haha. They rarely worked for me either. It's like few people on here can think outside the box and actually see the Hallmark crap as worth voting for. The same people vote over and over for the same stuff. I wish there were more people voting in these but that hasn't happened yet in 15 years. So now I mainly just go with whatever I please. I do a lot of mocking and ruffling feathers on here. Sometimes that works, sometimes not. What can you do? Lol. I'm bored with all of it but have fun writing the dumb stuff when I am. It sure beats watching TV. I'm glad you liked this silliness, Linda. Thank you again for the big sixer. Have yourself a great day.

This senryu fits the syllabic requirements. I got some long 'a' assonance with 'nature' and 'hates.' I found some 's' consonance with feelings/ass/writes. It sounds like a short-short rant as well. Everyone has their favorite genres, of course, and sometimes a new form will make all of us have to start over at the bottom in skill. But I commiserate with you.
