Yes. I agree very strongly with this message. In a world that thinks kindness rather anodyne, take a look at the alternatives!
Two days ago a beautiful 15 year old girl was stabbed to death as she got off a bus on her way to school in Croydon, South London. This is the 27th fatal stabbing of teenagers in London so far this year - up 30% on 2022.
Our society is filled with rage, self hatred and desperation. Very few things can break through that vicious spiral - but kindness can. If it affects a person at the right time, it can change them from a dangerous knife carrying sociopath into someone of self worth and moral standing - in other words, it can turn them into their opposite.
You have written a poem which has no connection with the violence I mention here, but kindness has the same affect: it changes both the giver and receiver - it makes us grow, it makes us love - it makes us whole.

We have the same concerns about violence that has broken loose in our country since Trump and his elk have advocated it. Kindness is no longer seen as a means to achieve goals, but rather as weakness, "an un-manliness" in some elements of our society. Thanks for your read and feedback. Appreciated.
