It should be interesting to see how this plan goes when them luring in the three men with guns and knives and them with only their fists for protection. Ben believes God will answer his prayers.

Guess will find out what "Ben" has cooked up to keep them from getting shot. One has to eat. Interesting storyline with plenty of action thrown in for good measure.

This chapter is well done especially the amputation. I was all queasy imagining that. The plot thickens as the group prepares to preach and confront the gang. Good job ramping up the tension.

Oh my! What a action-packed chapter! And I am glad that the amputation went okay and even that mobster's partner asked for a ticked to Los Angeles. Interesting! But this showdown sounds like a risk that is challenging faith and prayer!

I really liked: "Short, simple. Plant the seed. No theology, no doctrine, just Christ."

Thank you. Yes, Ben might be getting ahead of God, relying on his own thinking and abilities.
I'll look for the book. Thank you.

I only mentioned it because of the focus of evangelism in the book. Have you heard of Luis Palau? He recently went to be with the Lord.

You really give a lot of detail to your stories. How much research did you have to do? I have been doing lots of research for my Alistar Adams series. I love research. It always takes me to unexpected places.
You do good work here on this series. Karen

Thank you. I appreciate your kind review.
Yes, some research was involved. But I've always enjoyed historical works.

The drama of the foot amputation distracted me for a moment :( But I made up for my temporary concentration lapse. Ben continues in his mission alongside James as they continue their preaching while the plan is hatched to lure the Colisimo gang to a certain point where, hopefully, they can either be arrested or converted. You end another fine chapter on a cliff-hanger. Thanks for sharing, Wayne. Debbie

Evidently, a chapter slipped by me in my absence from Fanstory. I can't promise that I'll be able to make it up. I did have one problem:

I don't know where the previous chapter summary ended and the new chapter began. It would help to have it separated by some symbol or at lease an extra space.

Once more, it ends with Ben fearlessly preparing to go to battle with evil.

I remember (now) that I started to do that, but then promptly forgot. The previous chapter summaries are in italics. But it wouldn't kill me to be more explanatory.
The critical part is that the Colosimo gang came to SF to avenge their Chicago father. Ben kicked one where he was infected and he died. Ben will be tried for murder. In the meanwhile the 8 bad guys are being dispatched.
    Thank you for reviewing.

Well, I enjoy every chapter of your stories and always look forward to the next one. But this chapter had my mind wondering off with the reference to D.L. Moody, which brought to mind, B. R. Lakin, an old time tent revivalist preacher long since passed on back in 1984. But I still remember him an Dr. Louis B. Arnold kneeing down on each side of me in front of me at the makeshift altar. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you.
And great for you to remember.
Our preacher back in Michigan had a circus tent that he'd put up around the area every summer. Sawdust (chips) and the works. Filled it to overflowing every night.

Rev. Moody is still coming so Ben's plan is working out. James is learning to help save people. And Ben has a plan for the depleted Colosimo gang. It seems as if Ben's plan can work out.

Just hope that Ben's plan is also God's plan.
