I'm not familiar with Hogan's Alley. I would like to look further into it. You are introducing me to new ways to look at comics. I knew Doonesbury was a political one but had no idea about some of these others. Great post. Gretchen

Hi Brett I. I'm obviously learning here. As I grew up in Europe and I quite frankly don't know anything about the cartoons you're talking about. But as I have an open mind, and always like to learn I will be reading on. Ulla:)))

I'm starting from the beginning, and you have introduced something I was totally unaware of...The Yellow Kid. I googled him. There are comics, books, and expensive paintings. One was priced at $3090.00. I couldn't stop looking at the pictures and reading his shirts. I'm in my seventies and never heard of this guy. Join FanStory and you learn stuff. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this. My husband particularly enjoys comic strips. I have not heard of this one, but I am in Australia. Great photo. It will be an interesting series.

Hello Brett,
growing up, the comics were the best part of the newspaper. Even after I became an adult, I would immediately scan the Far Side, by Gary Larson. No matter what the other news was, I could handle it after I saw his latest offering. Thanks for sharing.
Have a blessed evening.

Thank you for sharing 'Hogan's Alley' with us. I do not remember this comic strip. I am certain it's my loss. I wonder if comic strips were regional. I am enjoying reading this.

I don't remember Hogan's Alley, but I certainly was a comic strip buff who didn't miss many for about 50 years. Between comic books, baseball cards, and that little strip of gum, and pieces of Bazooka and the tiny comic, there wasn't much I liked better. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Sometime, a new set of eyes is good. I'm anxiously waiting to find out what happens with the new Oncologist. Keep hanging tough; although, you've proved that already.

I don't remember that one at all. My first introduction was Popeye and Olive Oil and LIL Abner and Daisy Mae. LOL
I think that was her name. It was so long ago...Then I took up the plight of Little Orphan Anne. Then I discovered there were boys! HAHA. Well done Brett. Nancy:)

I never heard of that comic strip. When I was a kid, I like Dagwood and Blondy, Flash Gordon, Lil; Abner, Nancy, Benda Starr, Dick Tracy and Alley Oop. I couldn't wait for the next epicodes.

This was good. Don't think I remember that comic. Good of you to share some old history. I looked at the picture and...yes...I yawned, too. Keep up the god work.
