I have been reading this story in dribs and drabs, and it is amazing that I am able to follow each story chapter with no problems. You write well, and there are many Christian publishers out there that would go apey for your book.

Thank you.
I wish I could find one of those publishers.

Ben has to watch is back at all times but he seems less worried about something happening to him than his friends do. He never ignores is calling and is trying hard not to run ahead of God. His life is always on the line.

Thank you. Yes, it's a tight wire few can balance - maybe not even him.

As much as Ben is in trouble, it seems the friends who want to protect him are in as much trouble or even more if they have family like Henry has. Ben is awfully stubborn, I mean, committed to answering God's call. Hope he can make the most of this time keeping low while awaiting the trial.

Well, he is human, but he is also committed to serving God and following what he believes to be His will. Another fine chapter, but Ben has a lot of enemies. He will need God's strength in his human weakness.

Thank you. It's kind of fun puttin' a character in a pickle and then try to get him out. (smiley face here)

Do you know ahead or are you flying by the seat of your pants, working it out as you go?

I wrote the Colorado part and the last section last year, then the Chicago, San Francisco, and Alaska chapters in about 2 weeks several months ago.
Hope that news wasn't a downer for the story to you.

Not at all. I would not be able to get a character into a situation without some idea of how to get him out again. Your story is a good one. Well done.

Ben has only good intentions, but life keeps interfering with his hope to live peacefully. Staying alive for God has turned him into quite a fighter. His new mission is a ship full of sailors.

Thank you. Yes, life's struggle is even worse for those willing to attempt God's bidding.

So the two from Chicago were shanghaied? That's awesome!
My hat's off to you for continuing this story in such a smooth manner, with all the research you're doing and all the chapters and different story lines that you are writing. I try to put myself in a "novelist's" place, and I can't. I just can't focus for that long, lol!
You must have a calling to write this:-)

Wayne,
Your story mixes faith and how it is tested: a universal theme. But you use a unique situation to tell your story. I like how you mix gunslingers and organized crime in your chapter.
Nice story, Wayne.
Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

I can see where Ben would rather be in big trouble with the authorities of the world, rather than fail God, things don't seem to be quite as smooth as they were, but really God will lead us into some sticky situations before we complete our journey with Him, beautifully written Wayne, blessings Roy

This remains one of my favourite stories on here. You never fail to surprise me with the power of Ben's faith. In this one it is so clear that he lacks any normal self-interest or desire for self-preservation. Just waits patiently for God to move. Excellent devising and writing.
