I am so afraid of lizards. Even chameleon lizards do me in. They run too fast and I just can't. But I would never hurt one. They are all komodo dragons, even the little harmless ones. Couldn't watch Geiko commercials for a while. Lol. But your poem was wonderful. Gretchen

Interesting ... they move too fast I remember in my childhood boys would cut off their tails and said it would grow back.

Yes MariVal, the top image is not a water dragon, but the bottom image is... both are males, indicated by the red underbelly. Regardless, the images, they are both stunning and the intent is held with a very special heartfelt connection.

Such a wonderful haiku... the thought of, 'we all share the very same sunrise, sunset and everything in between', is so profound in its simplicity in the connectedness in a shared space all living entity occupy together.

I thank you with hand on heart for this beautiful poem... it means a lot to me.

Aw, Marival, this is a beautiful haiku. Yes, I can so identify with this. Big or small the dawn in paradise is just beautiful.

you are right, that is why I added a note ... the bottom is right. I looked for a long time and all the Australian water dragons were not what I wanted esthetically.
