Watch Fall Switch Now

That last italicized word tells me that we need to stop what we're doing and watch NOW! When I lived in Connecticut, I tried to slow down and appreciate the colors of the season every day until they were no longer there.
Everyone is writing about Fall changing to winter - we're barely out of summer! Let's "watch Fall NOW."
Good luck in the contest.

Hi, Pam. Now that we are officially into Fall, we should pause and enjoy the trees and flowers while we still can. Many thanks for sharing my poem. Rod

Yes, it won't be long as fall turns to winter, those bright sunny days cut short, turned gloomy and cold. But I never worry, cause it won't be long, spring will have sprung again. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Beautifully penned and illustrated poem of the change in seasons. I miss my childhood home in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fall is so lovely there. Thank you for taking me back, mystery poet.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming contest.

I always think the winter period is long and arduous Rod and I am always glad when it is over. You brought the sounds and scenes of winter to our eyes here Rod, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x

Comment from Verna Cole Mitchell
This poem is beautiful in its simplicity - each picture clearly painted with words. I love how you didn't fault fall, but instead just emphasized the comment, "Watch fall switch."

A very nice Rondeau poem about fall and the movement towards winter whilst here we are sweltering in 96 degrees as spring approaches!
Fine rhymes and smooth flow - sending best wishes.

I always seem to forget Australia is directly opposite from me regarding climate. Well, I hope you get a lovely spring, Wendy. Many thanks for sharing and praising my Rondeau.
Comment from Michele Harber
What a lovely description of fall turning to winter, done in vivid detail, yet perfectly within the parameters of the Rondeau. The image you chose beautifully complements your words. Good luck in the contest.

I love this poem. It paints such a detailed picture of Autumn, my favorite time of the year for all the reasons you mention here in this lovely poem. Great job!

Comment from Douglas Goff
No! No, I say! I refuse. I simply refuse to watch Fall Switch and certainly no time as soon as NOW.
Summer was a mere rain squall. Give me sunshine. I must have it.
Great seasonal piece.

This is a well written Rondeau that conjures up some lovely images. The rhyming is good throughout except that I think that I would have tried to make my refrain rhyme with my b-end rhyme if possible although that is a personal choice not something that the form demands. However, Blue ridge is singular so it should be 'Blue Ridges rises' in the first stanza. Apart from that I can see no problems with this descriptive poem so good luck in the contest

Hi, Eleri. I really appreciate your taking the time to read my poem and make suggestions. The biggest challenge of a Rondeau for me is the rhyme scheme. Blue Ridge is the name of a mountain range and the word "mountains" is implied, so "rise" is the correct verb.
