I can see members prefer to act like ostriches and put their heads in the sand.
The war in ukraine is based on a lie: that Russia wanted to rebuild the Soviet Union and they were starting with Ukraine.
Poppycock.
The only ones that have expanded are America /NATO .. when the Wall came down the ex Soviet countries were supposed to work as a buffer zone between Europe and Russia .. instead one by one the EU / NATO has made them members ..Ukraine was the last one left.
Russia already in 2008 warned America that NO WAY would Ukraine become a EU/NATO and member.
It's obvious why Russia was not happy.
A similar scenario happened in 1962 when Russia tried to install missiles in Cuba , America said NO WAY.
Russia in 1962 WAS a treat yet Kennedy did not want war ( the failed Bay of Pigs invasion was not something he supported but he was under a lot of pressure)
Kennedy wanted peace and he made it work.
This war has nothing to do with democracy and "freeing" the Ukraine people.
America provoked this war because they want to weaken Russia economically and military and their ultimate goal is to depose Putin and crush the commies ( because these warmongering in office still think there are commies like in 1962)
The sanctions were a flop, industrious Germany ( that was getting 42% of its gas from Russia) was having second thoughts about the gas sanctions then suddenly in Sept2022, North Stream 1 and 2 exploded.
The media pointed its finger at Russia but I was thinking Russia would never do that , all it had to do is close the gas pipes if they wanted to.
The culprits were Ukraines , so Germany that way could not have second thoughts about the sanctions.
Despite the sanctions , Russia is managing .. its selling its gas to India and India is selling it to Germany at a higher price ( no comment )
Russia not being able to invest using Swift around the global has been investing at home.
Who instead are not doing well is Europe ( the EU is kaputt ) and America ..
it's arsenals are empty ( that's why it started to give Ukraine those nasty cluster bombs that kill and mane lots of civilians too)
America's economy has nosedived , the Silicon Bank crack is just the tip of the ice berg.
The Ukrainian Spring and Summer counter offence has a disaster , some 400.000 Ukraine soldiers are dead.... Zelensky has been scraping the barrel arming men over 60 , mentally unstable people and even criminals from prison.
Yesterday Pence had the guts to say : it's time America sent men and women troops to fight in Ukraine because they have to win or else China will think America is weak.
America is weak and wrecked thanks to this war.
In the meantime Biden and his son's dealings with the rich Ukraine oligarchs since 2014, has been exposed. Hunter was using his father, then vice president of the Obama administration ( 2014) as guarantor receiving huge bribes.
And all this disaster was caused by a lie that Russia wanted to rebuild the Soviet Union.

Glad you found my rant of interest.
I just came upon this video and I can see that this madness of having open borders is being applied even in America... George Soros is behind all this. And we know that Biden, Obama and Clinton are puppets of Soros.
Several years ago Soros made a visit to his home country Hungry and started to spew this nonsense about open borders.
He said that there shouldn't be any borders in Europe and that even people without documents should be allowed to enter Europe. The Hungarians asked Soros to leave the country.
I'm sure Soros is behind the coups in several states in Africa eg. Niger,Gabon.
All this chaos is pushing people to flee and seek a future in Europe. So still more illegals.

There's a lot to take in with a rondeau verse and well done for accomplishing this one! Your theme is a strong one and your notes are a very helpful and informative addition. Ideally I would have preferred to see the verse split up into three stanza which I think would have shown off your skill in the verse form to better effect. There is also a highlight band around the text which you might be able to remove. But this is well expressed with the force you undoubtedly feel. Great job! Good luck! Debbie
