There are so many on this site in need of our thoughts and prayers, and I'm sure we will probably move onto that list if we're here long enough. Yesterday, I got a message from someone I hadn't seen in a while and had read often. She said she now had hospice coming, so it isn't good. Her name on the site is Julcia. I give her name so that she might end up on someone's prayer list and receive a miracle. Thanks for sharing.

Ric, thanks, I found out yesterday a long time friend, one of only a couple left has a week to live. Very sad for her husband, my buddy since we were 11. Terry

I'm offering up a prayer because, even though you didn't mention her name, God knows her name and that's all that's important. I don't need to know. All I need to do is to pray. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Lovely picture. Sweet words. This could be about many of the women on this site. It could even be about me for pete's sake. I have found that as one ages every ache and pain gets magnified. But, I try nor to complain because I figure we all have problems of varying kinds. Nice work Karen

This is an interesting flash story.

There is a juxtaposition between saying a prayer for an ailing friend and for those who could benefit from praying perhaps.

I find it hard to believe that fellow Fanstorian's object to not winning contests.

We all put forth our best efforts in hopes of winning, but the judges have the final say.

I think some writers may be a little TOO involved on the site. It should be fun!!

"Honestly, Lord, there are a couple of soreheads who don't like her winning a bunch of the contests. Lord, I know what You're thinking: tell 'em to write better. If I get a chance, I'll pass that along."

"I'm not sure how to react to this one--lol. But doesn't this contradict it?>>"Lord, I am sure of one thing because I know the soreheads: they don't want her to suffer any more pain."

In any event, your prayer is wonderful. :)

Dawn, thank you. I did want to 'cut some slack' to the soreheads. They may not like her winning, but I don't think they want her hurting either. And the humor was intended. Terry.

Oh my goodness Terry, is someone being bullied for winning contests? That sounds terrible, is it on this site. As you say, the only thing they should be going is improving their own writing and not bullying others, a poignant write, love Dolly x x x

Thanks for sharing the image and the request for prayers on behalf of a friend, Terry. I hope that reaching out with your prayer, and others that will be made by FanStory members will help with the issues this person, and others, are facing. Some situations make it difficult to go through on your own. I am glad this person trusted you enough to reach out and ask for help.

This heartfelt prayer, which I really like, is comfortable and conversational, demonstration an ongoing relationship with our Lord. He hears our pleas and sheds His healing like as needed, even though we don't always understand His ways or His timing. I pray that your friends finds ease and healing.
