What a modern haiku this is, Gypsy. The Cold Moon is a reference that makes the barren road most barren. This road means that the road was walked by a friend and me. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

idk about "the cold moon"... doesn't feel like it rises to the imagery of the rest of the poem... but that could be just me lol
just thought i'd toss my thoughts out there...

anyway, still a good haiku - love the wintry barren road to slowly stroll along

This road could be literal or it could be emotional. The bright spot is you are with a friend. Sometimes that's all you need to have with you on wintry barren roads. Beautifully written. Gretchen

The moon is always such a good friend because she faithfully shows up and she always listens. A great little winter haiku that shows the barrenness of winter both in outside view and inside loneliness of the soul's winter.
