Still loving it. I want more. MORE. Seriously inviting story. Full of ups and downs. Romance, intrigue, paranoia, mystery, suspense. Where do you get all your ideas. I am sooo jealous. It took all my imagination to write"It's no carnival ride." It was my first "horror" story. yes , I have had blood and stuff in y stories, but I never just sat down and said I am going to write a horror story. Do you plot stuff out?
I don't I sit down and write till it is done. Then I
edit and edit and edit. Katen

I meet the character and follow along. Never plot. You miss a lot of opportunities when you keep your eyes on a set climax. Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Gretchen

Miranda has a full life, working, figuring out mysteries, and helping little old men work the pump. (My mother still pays with cash and even stopped going to her favorite service station that she insisted on using for decades because they only take cards now.)
I like the scene with Mitch. It seems genuine as the various emotions emerge and play against each other. In the end, their love wins out.

Thanks so much. I've not had enough cash to pay for a tank in decades. Lol. They do care about each other. Thanks so much for this. Gretchen

I really love this story. I can't imagine Mitch and Miranda with anybody else. They are perfect together. I want this story to draw out for a really long time so I can read it. LOL

It's is in the past (you can omit the 'is')

Thanks so much. Miranda and Mitch are pretty down to earth. He tends to be more practical. She flies by the seat of her pants. Gretchen

Miranda is very kind I like the way he treats Alvin Starling, it shows she has a good heart. I taught computer skills at a food bank and most of the students were elders. They were so appreciative. I made some good friends.

Mitch Danner sounds like a good man.

Well done. Another great story.

Lovely to be back on your Miranda story. It is always worth reading. The other part about helping the old bloke at the bowser was good as well. I know self serves dowanna come out for safety reasons.

Filling up with gas is a thing of the past over here as people drive electric cars! It is a trail and when we when on holiday last year we had to wait an hour for a charger to become available! Fortunately it was a fast charger when we got connected. I would want to know what happened if I had a friend in need too and if anything happened to my daughters I would carry out my own investigations, ha ha ha. Love the reference to Tina Turner's song, always good to read your stories, love Dolly x x x

I'm thinking Alvin Starling will be appearing again, but what his part will be is left hanging. Is he a goodie, or baddie? Hmm. Mitch sounds nice, so, I'm guessing Miranda thinks so too. I must read you first book so I can get to know Miranda more. I'm really liking her, she seems to be quite a down to earth kind of lady, no messing around, she is what she is, like it or lump it. I enjoyed this part, my friend. Unless you post more in the week, I'll catch up on my return. Warmest hugs, Sandra xx

I try to post on Wednesdays and Saturdays or Sundays. My days off. Miranda is a character. She acts first thinks second. I over think until the moment is lost. Lol. So, quite a challenge to write. But her sarcasm is all me. Like it or lump it. Lol. It will be here waiting when you return. Gretchen.
P.s. thank you for the awesome review and the extra star.

Is it American to spell it 'curb'? In the UK it's 'kerb'. Anyway, this is warming up nicely. I know too well that I have to get to know your characters and then the story gains in impact. I await the next one.

Here we spell it curb. Miranda likes to meander to the mystery. Lol. Thanks for this. Gretchen

She was shot at. She didn't get shot. It was a scare tactic. Thanks for this. Gretchen
