This is very funny. It shows the rebel part of her. Kind of something I might want to do too. Some readers will identify. Just act like it was something else rather than what it really was. A great presentation. No we knew move to the more serious This is a very good topic for people to be presented with. I'm sure there will be readers who can identify with the suspicions of cheating.

I think she should have corrected the word "tits". That word bothers me. I think it is a belittling word. Like calling a pregnant woman a "Baby Factory." Okay, off the soapbox. I am still loving this story.

Miranda says it like she sees it. Disrespect is her pet peeve. I personally don't like that word either, but I doesn't bother Miranda. Lol. Thanks for this. Gretchen

Okay, I admit I missed the first book. It sounds like Miranda likes playing private investigator and is going to help Rita by checking out if Bill is stepping out on her. Also, we know she is working on her own mystery. She certainly has a full plate.

Miranda is nosy as well as investigative. Lol. But she doesn't gossip. Thanks so much for this. Gretchen

So Miranda is a bit of a sleuth? This should be good. She has two cases to work on, neither commissioned, but she'll do it anyway. I'm afraid I agree with Miranda about Rita's hubby, Bill. Rita has to find out the hard way, I suppose. It's alright people saying, 'Why didn't you tell me?' when your friend finds out you knew. Been there done that! I couldn't look my friend in the eye when she asked me. Men can be bastards at times. Another enjoyable chapter, my friend. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

Well, this sounds like the many cases of cheating that we hear about every morning at the diner to disrupt those eggs, bacon, and onion laced hash-browned potatoes. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Miranda sounds like a though lady. I feel bad for Rita. My exhusbald cheated on me too but I didn't stay quiet and I dug and dug until I found the truth. He had an affair with a married where from work.

Sometimes I wonder if we would still be married if I kept silent.

I hope Miranda kicks Rita's husband butt.

Wonderful story...very intriguing and engaging. Well done.

Poor Rita. I can't wait to find out what's going on there. I really get a smile out of Mitch and Miranda's relationship. This is a good read.

I just laid there in my bed, next to that deceitful bastard, all wrapped up in a blanket of lies. (bed, beside that)

I think despite the difference between Miranda and Rita, I think, because she's basically a solid friend and faithful type of person, she's concerned. What is up with Bill? Mr ordinary. This looks like another mystery to solve, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Miranda loves a mystery. A trailer park Nancy Drew. Lol. Glad you enjoyed it. Gretchen

This work has reached the exceptional level

Hmm. I love all the different parts that are percolating simultaneously: Missy writes to Miranda from prison (that's fabulous!), the MIL gets socked (one can never have too many residual feelings of schadenfreude where MIL's are concerned. I know this from my own trove of delights in that area...), and now Bill's strange nocturnal behavior. Yep; I remain intrigued! Very good work, Gretchen.

Also, these two parts I consider absolute stand-out writing:

* I just laid there in my bed, next to that deceitful bastard, all wrapped up in a blanket of lies.

* I want to tell her it's not love if you have to look the other way.

Your writing, which I have always loved, just grows better and better and better. xo

I enjoyed this chapter. It like getting a glimpse into another that always has something going on. No unlike most of our lives. It almost reads like non fiction. I'll look forward to her trying to solve these mysteries.
